I may not have your specific traumas, no. But if that means that I don't go into every unfamiliar situation guns blazing, then I think maybe I'm better off for it.

It wasn't unfamiliar. In my world, robots--onmics, we call them--of that size were corrupted and used to cause massive destruction. Just one can wipe an entire city off the map in less than a day.
